Hail Mary with extra height
A wide angle lens on a monopod will often give you the extra height needed as in the coverage of the Women's March in downtown Fort Wayne. The Journal Gazette photogrpher Rachel Von wanted to show large turn out to the event. She set the camera on a timer to take the photos since her arms aren't long enough.

Steve McCurry is an American photographer who has worked in photojournalism and editorial. He is best known for his 1984 photograph "Afghan Girl", which originally appeared in National Geographic magazine. McCurry is a member of Magnum Photos.
